Late Ex-IGP Solomon Arase's Body Arrives in Benin for Burial Rites

The body of the late former Inspector General of Police, Solomon Arase, has been flown to Benin City, Edo State, for burial rites. Arase passed away on August 31, 2025, at Cedarcrest Hospital in Abuja after a brief illness.

A memorial service was held in his honor in Abuja before the Nigerian Air Force transported his body to Benin for the final burial activities. The arrival of Arase's body in Benin marks the beginning of the funeral ceremonies to honor his legacy and service in the Nigerian Police Force.
