LAUTECH Denies Viral Notice on Matriculation Signing Date

The Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH), located in Ogbomoso, has officially debunked a viral notice that directed newly admitted students to sign the matriculation list on September 23, 2026. The university labeled the notice as false and unauthorized, clarifying that the matriculation list signing exercise has not yet commenced.

In a statement issued by the Registrar, Mrs Olayinka Balogun, it was noted that the university is currently on break, and no Faculty Office is conducting any signing exercise. An official memo dated August 24, 2026, also signed by Balogun, confirmed that matriculation lists for newly admitted 100 Level and Direct Entry students for the 2025/2026 academic session had been dispatched to the Faculties.

The memo instructed Faculty Officers to ensure that each newly admitted student signs against their name and submit three copies of the completed lists to the Registrar’s office by September 30, 2026. The university urged students to disregard the viral notice and rely on official communication for updates regarding the signing exercise.
