Senator Nwebonyi Praises Lagos-Calabar Highway Project

Senator Onyekachi Peter Nwebonyi, the Deputy Chief Whip of the Senate, commended the progress and quality of work on the Lagos-Calabar Coastal Highway project. He stated that the project connects to the legacy road initiative and represents a major step by President Bola Tinubu towards improving economic connectivity and development in the Southeast region.

Nwebonyi made these remarks while inspecting a section of the highway that passes through the Mbeke and Ishiek communities in the Ebonyi Local Government Area of Ebonyi State. He expressed satisfaction with the progress of the earthwork.

Additionally, the President General of the Mbeke Autonomous Community, Mr. Sundai Ogboso, welcomed the project, describing it as a long-awaited development that would improve the livelihoods of residents.

Ogboso also commended the Nigerian government for executing the project and expressed optimism about its contribution to the socio-economic development of the community and the wider region.
