Nigerian House of Reps Order Paper: Key Bills, April 22 2026

The House of Representatives sat on 22 April 2026 with business spanning security, education, health, and agriculture.

Fifteen bills were listed for First Reading, meaning they were formally introduced for the first time. These included a bill to establish a Special Court for Terrorism, Banditry and Kidnapping, an amendment to the Cybercrimes Act, a National Alcohol Control Bill, a bill to repeal and re-enact the Students Loans (Access to Higher Education) Act, and a proposed Sixth Alteration to Nigeria's 1999 Constitution. A bill to establish a Joint Doctrine and Warfare Centre for the military was also introduced, alongside amendments touching the National Health Act, National Security Agencies Act, Armed Forces Pension Act, and the West African Gas Pipeline Project Act.
