The proposed budget includes ₦15.9 trillion for debt service, ₦15.25 trillion for recurrent non-debt expenditure, ₦23.2 trillion for capital expenditure, and ₦4.1 trillion for statutory transfers. The bill was sponsored by Senate Leader Sen. Michael Bamidele of Ekiti Central.
