Tinubu Donates 1,600 Rice Bags to Osun Residents

On Thursday, President Bola Tinubu donated 1,600 bags of rice to indigent residents across various communities in Osun State as part of the "Renew Hope" initiative. The donation was presented by the Osun State coordinator of the initiative, Sundai Aker, and aims to assist the Muslim community in celebrating Eid el-Fitr while also supporting Christians concluding their Lenten season.

Aker noted that the gesture is intended to ensure that no less privileged person is left behind during these celebrations. The distribution event, held in Osogbo, included various beneficiaries such as members of the Nigeria Labour Union, National Association of Nigerian Students, and other ethnic groups.

Earlier, 2,000 food packs were distributed to elderly citizens, persons living with disabilities, artisans, and market women. The initiative reflects Tinubu's commitment to prioritizing the welfare of less privileged individuals in the state, as emphasized by Gafar Ajani from the Citi Boi Movement.
