Don Jazzy, a prominent record producer and music executive, stated that the decision to let go of former Mavin Records artist Di'ja was the most challenging of his career. In a recent episode of the "Crea8torium" podcast, he recalled the moment when Di'ja expressed her discomfort during the announcement, which led to an emotional scene where she questioned why she was involved and began to cry.

Don Jazzy emphasized the difficulty of such decisions, stating that he does not think he will let another artist go again. Di'ja signed with Mavin Records on February 14, 2014, and released multiple singles and an EP during her time with the label until her departure in 2023, which she clarified was a formal exit due to life circumstances.
