LG Launches Smart Dehumidifier to Combat Humidity in Nigeria

On Tuesday, LG Electronics launched its smart dehumidifier in Nigeria, aiming to address the rising indoor humidity levels that affect homes, offices, and commercial spaces, particularly during the rainy season in coastal cities. The product is designed to create a healthier and drier indoor environment, protecting furniture, fabrics, and air quality.

Joonkyu Song, General Manager of Eco Solutions at LG Electronics Nigeria, emphasized the company's understanding of changing lifestyle needs in Nigeria, where excessive humidity can lead to discomfort and health issues. The smart dehumidifier, available in two models (34 liters DD20GMWE1 and 28 liters MD16GQWE0), utilizes LG's dual inverter compressor technology for optimized energy use and operates quietly at 33 decibels.

It features LG's ThinQ technology for remote monitoring via smartphones and includes practical accessories. Dr.

Eniola Oni, a food safety expert, highlighted the product's importance in controlling indoor moisture to prevent mold and respiratory issues. The launch reinforces LG's commitment to delivering innovative solutions tailored to local environmental conditions.
