LG Electronics Launches Free Health Insurance in Nigeria

LG Electronics has expanded its health protection efforts for Nigerian consumers by launching a free Comprehensive Insurance scheme aimed at combating malaria, which accounts for approximately 26% of global cases. This initiative is part of LG's corporate social responsibility strategy and is executed in partnership with AXA Mansard Health.

The insurance scheme will provide comprehensive medical coverage addressing everyday healthcare needs, including conditions such as malaria, typhoid, respiratory infections, and gastrointestinal issues. Eligible customers who purchase select LG air conditioning models will receive access to this insurance package.

Joonkyu Song, General Manager of the Eco Solutions Division at LG Electronics Nigeria, stated that the initiative reflects an understanding of the challenges faced by Nigerian consumers and aims to improve their quality of life. The insurance plan is designed to cover a wide range of common medical conditions, reinforcing LG's commitment to enhancing healthcare access for Nigerian households.
