Lagos State Equips Police with Bulletproof Gear for Safety

The Lagos State Security Trust Fund (LSSTF) has provided Division Police Officers and Tactical Squads across Lagos State with bulletproof vests and ballistic helmets. This initiative aims to strengthen operational safety and security responses amid rising national security concerns.

The disclosure was made in a statement available on Sunday, following an order by Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu on June 5. Dr.

Ayodel Ogunsan, the Executive Secretary and CEO of LSSTF, presented the equipment, affirming Lagos's capacity to maintain a safe environment for residents and businesses. He reassured the public of their safety and emphasized the importance of empowering security agencies.

The initiative is part of ongoing efforts to equip security agencies across the state, with a focus on police operations. Fatai Tijani, from the Lagos State Police Command, commended the initiative, highlighting the expected operational boost it would provide.
