Made Kuti reacts as man criticises him for marrying Igbo woman

Afrobeat singer Made Kuti responded to negative criticism regarding his marriage to Igbo woman, Inedoye Onyenso. The grandson of the legendary Fela Kuti tied the knot with Onyenso in a civil wedding ceremony in Lagos in November 2023.

Kuti faced backlash from a social media user who called him foolish for marrying outside his Yoruba ethnic group. In response, Kuti defended his decision, stating that he believes ethnic differences are not justifiable reasons for division and urged the critic to educate themselves on history.
