MFM Youth Games Kick Off at Mountain Top University

The maiden Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries (MFM) Youth Games officially began on Monday at Mountain Top University, with over 1,000 athletes and officials from 17 merged mega regions participating in six sports: football, basketball, athletics, table tennis, scrabble, and chess. The opening ceremony included a football match, where Mountain Top University defeated MFM Ministries 1-0.

Dr. Daniel Olukoya, General Overseer of MFM, represented by Pastor Kunle Adesanya, emphasized the event's role in allowing young athletes to showcase their talents and contribute positively to society. Godwin Enakhena, Director of Sports at MFM, stated that the competition focuses on talent discovery, aiming to find future stars like Wilfred Ndidi in football and Ese Brume in athletics.

Professor Olurotimi Olurin, Director of Sports at Mountain Top University, expressed enthusiasm for the university's participation, highlighting the importance of youth engagement in sports.
