APC's Alli Accuses Makinde of Undermining Local Government

Senator Sharafadeen Alli, the gubernatorial candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Oyo State, has publicly accused Governor Seyi Makinde of paralyzing the local government system in the state. In a statement issued through Bisi Oladele, the Director of Media and Publicity for his campaign organization, Alli claimed that Makinde's administration demonstrates a lack of confidence in local governance, leading to its dysfunction.

He criticized Makinde, who is also the presidential candidate of the Allied Peoples Movement (APM) for the 2027 general elections, for allegedly undermining local governments, which are essential for grassroots development. Alli emphasized that Nigerians are aware of Makinde's record and are unlikely to support a candidate known for weakening local government structures.

He described Makinde's tenure as an "anti-local government administration" over the past seven years in Oyo State.
