Alli Claims Oyo Local Governments Paralyzed by Makinde

Senator Sharafadeen Alli, the All Progressives Congress governorship candidate in Oyo State, accused Governor Seyi Makinde of paralyzing the state's 33 local government areas, warning that Makinde's potential presidency in 2027 could threaten local government administration nationwide. The state government, represented by Commissioner for Information Dotun Oyelade, rejected these allegations as misleading, asserting that documented projects across Oyo State contradict Alli's claims.

Oyelade highlighted various completed projects, including significant road constructions, as evidence of active local government operations. The APC campaign organization, through its Director of Media and Publicity Bisi Oladele, criticized the Allied Peoples Movement's (APM) call for President Bola Tinubu's withdrawal from the 2027 election, labeling it a "political hallucination." The APC challenged the APM to demonstrate its political strength and structures nationwide, emphasizing that Makinde must first address his political challenges in Oyo State.
