Makinde's Campaign Council Predicts Victory Over Tinubu

The Makinde-Daura Presidential Campaign Organisation (MDPCO) has declared that its presidential candidate, Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State, will defeat President Bola Tinubu in the 12 battleground states identified by Tinubu, as well as in other states, during the January 2027 presidential election. The MDPCO, through its Director of Strategic Communications, Hon. Richard Nnanna Ihediwa, emphasized that Nigeria's primary issue is poverty, not religion, and called for greater Christian participation in politics.

The organization criticized Tinubu's campaign strategy, asserting that his political overreach and the discontent with his administration have weakened his electoral prospects. They challenged Tinubu to engage directly with the public in these states, highlighting the poor state of infrastructure and the hardships faced by Nigerians under his government.

The MDPCO believes that no amount of political maneuvering can alter the growing opposition to Tinubu's re-election.
