Daura Claims Tinubu Is Defeatable in 2027 Elections

Lawal Musa Daura, the former Director-General of the Department of State Services (DSS) and current Vice-presidential candidate of the Allied Peoples Movement (APM), declared that President Bola Tinubu is defeatable in the upcoming 2027 elections. During an interview on Channels Television’s Politics Today, Daura expressed confidence in the APM's chances, stating, “Very well,” when asked if Tinubu could be beaten.

He emphasized his familiarity with Tinubu, noting that their relationship extends beyond politics. Daura mentioned that there are misconceptions about Tinubu, asserting, “There are lots of things being ascribed to him which he’s not.” Reflecting on his past, Daura, who served under former President Muhammadu Buhari, stated he misses Buhari and claimed he “took bullets” for him.

He criticized sycophants around Buhari for betraying his trust. Daura called on Nigerians to support the Makinde-Daura ticket, highlighting their shared passion for reforming the country.
