Tragic Death in Kwara Bush Fire: Pastor Dies in Private Property Blaze

In Kwara, a bush fire on a private property in Ilorin claimed the life of Pastor Samson Awolola, aged 73, on Monday morning. The fire allegedly began when Pastor Awolola ignited the bush grass.

The flames quickly spread, blocking exits and trapping individuals on the property. Despite efforts to escape, Pastor Awolola was unable to leave the premises and succumbed to the advancing fire.

The Kwara State Fire Service confirmed the incident, with the Public Relations Officer, Hassan Adekunl, stating that they received a distress call at 11:58 am. The body of Pastor Awolola was later recovered.

Sundai Nuha, the community chairman, emphasized the need for further investigation.
