Man Kills Friend in Edo During Housewarming, Arrested by Police

A man allegedly killed his friend during a housewarming ceremony in Edo State, prompting anger and unrest in the community. The victim, who had returned from Europe to celebrate with family, was attacked with a machete and later confirmed dead in the hospital.

The suspect fled but was tracked down and arrested by the police. The incident led to further violence, with the suspect's house set ablaze.

Eno Ikoedem, a spokesperson for the Edo State Police Command, confirmed the arrest and disclosed that two other individuals were also arrested in connection with arson following the murder.
