Manchester United Considers Carrick for Permanent Coach Role

Manchester United's senior executives are pushing for Michael Carrick to be appointed as the permanent head coach of the club. Carrick, who is 44 years old, has been in charge since January 13, 2023, and has achieved notable success, losing only twice in 15 matches and guiding the team to seventh place in the Premier League.

This performance has secured a potential return to the Champions League next season. The club's chief executive, Omar Berrada, and director of football, Jason Wilcox, believe Carrick is the right man for the job.

Discussions regarding his future are expected to take place with Sir Jim Ratcliffe, who has agreed to begin formal talks about Carrick's position. The club intends to delay the decision on a successor to Ruben Amorim, who was sacked in January, until the end of the season.
