Enugu Governor Advocates for South-East Regional Integration and Economic Growth

Enugu State Governor Peter Mbah delivered a speech promoting regional integration in the South-East of Nigeria during an event in Enugu. He urged the region to reimagine itself as a common market and single economic bloc to enhance growth.

Mbah highlighted the importance of creating a South-East common market to facilitate seamless commerce, talent exchange, and industrial development across the five states in the region. He commended the establishment of the South East Development Commission by President Bola Tinubu and called for a shift towards collective prosperity policies.

Mbah emphasized the need for infrastructure development, logistics connectivity, and enhanced security cooperation among the states. He proposed the South-East Vision 2050 framework to address challenges and foster sustainable prosperity through regional integration.
