Mercy Aigbe Critiques Media's Treatment of Toluwanising's Family

Mercy Aigbe, a Nollywood actress, spoke out against the media's treatment of the family of late singer Toluwanising in an Instagram post on October 26. She condemned bloggers for exacerbating the family's pain during a difficult time, particularly for Toluwanising's widow and their two young children.

Aigbe highlighted the troubling lack of empathy in the public's response and questioned when public curiosity crosses into cruelty. While she refrained from taking sides in the ongoing family dispute following Toluwanising's death, she firmly stated that the media attention is harmful.

Aigbe urged those with platforms to exercise restraint and allow the bereaved family the dignity and space they need to mourn. This statement comes amid tensions between Toluwanising's wife and his extended family, as well as a public outreach from singer Oyinlomo Diamond to gospel singer BBO, who has been silent since Toluwanising's passing.
