Ochoa Set for Historic Sixth World Cup Appearance

Guillermo Ochoa, the 40-year-old Mexican goalkeeper, is poised to become the first goalkeeper to appear in six World Cup tournaments. He headlines Mexico's squad for the upcoming World Cup, which will be co-hosted by Canada and the United States.

Ochoa's first World Cup appearance was in Germany in 2006. The squad also includes forward Raul Jimenez from Fulham and Santiago Gimenez from AC Milan.

Javier Aguirre, the current coach, will be leading the team for his third World Cup, having previously managed in 2002 and 2010. Mexico's group stage matches include an opening game against South Africa on June 11, a match against South Korea on June 18, and a final group stage game against the Czech Republic on June 24.

The squad features other notable players such as Edson Alvarez from West Ham and Alvaro Fidalgo from Real Betis, with 17-year-old Gilberto Mora set to become the youngest player to represent Mexico in a World Cup.
