Ronaldo, Messi, Ochoa Make World Cup History Together

Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi are set to make history at the 2026 FIFA World Cup as they become the first players to participate in six editions of the tournament. They join Mexican goalkeeper Guillermo Ochoa, who is also included in the squad for his sixth World Cup.

All three players made their World Cup debuts in Germany in 2006 and have remained fixtures on the global stage for nearly two decades. Ronaldo, at 41 years old, aims for his first World Cup title, having scored in five different tournaments.

Messi, also making his sixth appearance, is Argentina's all-time leading scorer in World Cups with 13 goals. Ochoa's journey is unique; although he has been part of the World Cup squads since 2006, he made his debut in Brazil 2014 and has been Mexico's first-choice goalkeeper since.

The trio's participation underscores their significant contributions to international football.
