AC Milan to Negotiate New Deal for Samuel Chukwueze

AC Milan is preparing to open contract negotiations with Nigerian international Samuel Chukwueze, whose impressive performances at the start of the season have prompted the Serie A club to consider extending his contract beyond June 2028. The 27-year-old winger, who spent the previous season on loan at Fulham, has started all three of Milan's opening league matches this season, providing two assists.

Chukwueze has adapted to a new role as a right-sided wing-back under manager Ruben Amorim, contributing defensively while assisting goals for teammates Adrien Rabiot and Alphadjo Cisse. Italian transfer expert Nicolo Schira reports that Milan is ready to negotiate a renewal that could keep Chukwueze at the club until 2031.

Despite previous struggles to secure a first-choice position since joining from Villarreal in July 2023, his recent form has shifted the club's outlook on his future. Chukwueze remains focused on his performance as he aims to build on what is considered his best start to a season in Italy.
