Mokwa Flood Support Group Urges FG to Redeem N2 Billion Pledge for Victims

The Mokwa Flood Relief Support Group is appealing to the federal government to fulfill its promise of N2 billion aid for flood victims in Mokwa, Niger State. The group, led by retired Assistant Controller General of Customs, Ahmed Nasir, highlighted the urgent need for the pledged funds to support the affected residents, including 88 children and 41 widows.

They commended Governor Muhammad Umaru Bago for his relief efforts and urged President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to honor his commitment to construct resettlement facilities. The group's intervention aims to alleviate the suffering of flood survivors and complement the ongoing relief initiatives by the state government.
