Bode Abifarin Named CEO of MoMo Payment Service Bank

MoMo Payment Service Bank (MoMo PSB), a fintech subsidiary of MTN Nigeria, has appointed Bode Abifarin as its Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, effective September 1, 2026. Abifarin brings over 23 years of experience in financial services, consulting, digital payments, and fintech.

Prior to this role, she was the Chief Operating Officer at Flutterwave, where she led strategic initiatives and developed payment solutions to enhance access to financial services. Serigne Dioum, CEO of MTN Group Fintech, praised Abifarin for her strategic leadership and fintech expertise.

Michael Ajukwu, Chairman of the MoMo PSB Board, noted her focus on financial inclusion as a key asset for the bank's leadership. Abifarin expressed her commitment to expanding access to digital financial services in Nigeria.

She has a notable background, including 15 years at KPMG and founding Strata Advisory. Abifarin's appointment comes as MTN Nigeria plans to restructure its fintech operations, including a significant stake sale in MoMo PSB.
