Moniepoint Launches N3bn IT Innovation Hubs in Nigeria

Moniepoint has announced a commitment of N3 billion to establish IT innovation hubs at three Nigerian universities: Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU) in Osun State, University of Nigeria Nsukka (UNN) in Enugu State, and Ahmadu Bello University (ABU) in Zaria, Kaduna State. The launch occurred on a Monday, with a memorandum of understanding signed to formalize the initiative.

Tosin Eniolorunda, CEO and co-founder of Moniepoint, stated that the hubs are strategically selected to ensure opportunities are distributed across Nigeria's diverse regions. The hubs will be built over the next three years and will serve as permanent centers for training in software engineering, data science, artificial intelligence, robotics, product development, and entrepreneurship.

The initiative represents a significant private sector investment in Nigerian higher education, aiming to guide students through structured learning and mentorship programs that include real-world projects.
