Royal Air Maroc Fined for Consumer Protection Breaches in Nigeria - NCAA Imposes Hefty Sanction

The Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) fined Royal Air Maroc (RAM) for repeated consumer protection breaches, making it the worst offender among foreign airlines in Nigeria. RAM paid a significant sanction fee for violating baggage regulations and failing to address passenger complaints promptly.

The NCAA expressed concern over the airline's pattern of negligence towards passenger rights. The Director of Public Relations at NCAA confirmed the fine imposed on RAM, highlighting the need for foreign airlines to improve their responsiveness to passenger issues.

Despite the hefty penalty, RAM showed improvement in addressing complaints but still faces challenges with baggage handling. The NCAA held a virtual meeting with the airline to address these ongoing issues.
