Mosun Filani Discusses Marriage and Return to Acting

Veteran actress Mosun Filani discussed her marriage and absence from Nollywood during an interview with BBC News on September 23. She emphasized that women prioritizing work over family may risk their marriages, reflecting on her own life changes post-marriage.

Filani stated that she could previously work for months without consequence, but her responsibilities as a wife and mother necessitated a shift in priorities. She addressed ongoing speculation about her marriage being polygamous, asserting that while she respects women in such situations, it does not apply to her.

Filani explained her prolonged absence from the acting industry was due to the demands of her career conflicting with her home responsibilities. Now that her children are older, she feels ready to return to acting.
