Mrs. Tinubu Advocates for Teacher Empowerment at National Summit 2026

Mrs. Oluremi Tinubu, the wife of Senator Bola Tinubu, highlighted the importance of teachers as the unsung architects of great nations during the National Teacher Summit 2026 held in Abuja.

She stressed the need for Nigerian teachers to embrace innovation and be adequately equipped to shape the next generation of leaders. The summit, attended by key figures like Prof.

Babagana Zulum and Tunji Alausa from the Federal Ministry of Education, aimed to revitalize the education sector and renew hope in the profession. Various initiatives were announced, including the launch of the EduRevamp portal for continuous professional development of teachers.

Notable rewards were also presented, with Francis Taiwo from Ogun State emerging as the overall best teacher of 2026, winning N50 million and a two-bedroom flat. The event underscored the commitment to improving teacher welfare, skills development, and overall education quality in Nigeria.
