MTN Reports Network Outage in Sokoto, Zamfara, Kebbi

MTN has issued a network outage alert indicating that subscribers in parts of Sokoto, Zamfara, and Kebbi states may experience temporary disruptions to its services. The telecommunications company reported that it is facing network challenges in these areas, which could lead to the unavailability of its services.

MTN stated that its engineers are actively working to resolve the issues and restore normal service as quickly as possible. The notice highlights that infrastructure-related incidents, such as fibre cuts, have become a significant concern for telecom operators, often causing disruptions to voice, data, and other communication services.

Telecom operators have called for better protection of critical telecommunications infrastructure to mitigate the frequency and impact of such network outages. For affected MTN subscribers in Sokoto and Kebbi, services are anticipated to return to normal once the network challenges are resolved.
