MTN Awards 5 Million Naira to AMVCA Short Film Winner

At the 12th Africa Magic Viewers' Choice Awards (AMVCA), MTN Nigeria presented a cash prize of 5 million Naira to Hussaini, the creator of the winning film in the Best Short Film category. The award ceremony celebrated the achievements of filmmakers, with MTN's Chief Marketing Officer, Onyiny Ikenna Emeka, emphasizing the company's commitment to youth empowerment and support for the creative industry.

The event, held at Multichoice Studio in Lagos, also recognized five emerging filmmakers through the MTN Film Challenge, awarding a combined cash prize of 4.65 million Naira. The finalists included Precious Aisa, Fitz William Ochi, Ugwuez Jennif, Anuyimika Ayomid, and Alex Oshiama, who received cash prizes for their outstanding short films reflecting Nigerian culture and everyday experiences.

Additionally, the event provided opportunities for aspiring filmmakers to engage directly with established industry professionals through masterclass panel sessions focused on storytelling and career development.
