Unai Emery Prioritizes Fulham Match Over Barcelona Clash
Unai Emery, the manager of Aston Villa, stated that his complete attention is on the Premier League match against Fulham, scheduled for Saturday at Villa Park. Despite the looming Champions League tie against Barcelona the following week, Emery stressed the importance of prioritizing the Fulham match to secure a third successive win in the league.
He remarked that thinking ahead to the Barcelona match would be a mistake, emphasizing the need for focus and respect for Fulham. Aston Villa, currently ninth in the Premier League table, is three points ahead of Fulham.
Emery highlighted the team's progress and the necessity of maintaining consistency to compete for top positions, reflecting on their recent victory over Manchester City, which ended City's perfect start to the season.
