Adeleke Accuses APC of Violence Ahead of Elections

Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke accused his political opponents, particularly the APC, of orchestrating violence due to their inability to present a viable campaign. He referenced statements made by his predecessor, Gboyega Oyetola, regarding the impossibility of addressing accumulated salary and pension debts.

Adeleke asserted that his administration has paid over N80 billion of inherited pension debt and has made significant strides in workers' welfare, which he believes has earned him the endorsement for re-election. He detailed his achievements, including the construction of 350 kilometers of roads, three flyover bridges, and the rehabilitation of over 200 primary health care centers.

Adeleke reported that seven members of his party have been killed and over 20 injured due to violence attributed to the APC, claiming police involvement in these acts. He expressed discomfort with the police's partisan actions and reported ongoing arrests of his party members, raising concerns about potential election rigging.
