NACC Proposes US-Nigeria Trade Centre to Sanwo-Olu

The Nigerian American Chamber of Commerce (NACC) has sought the support of Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu for the establishment of a permanent US-Nigeria Trade Centre, referred to as the Lagos Legacy Project. This proposal was formally presented during a high-level courtesy visit to the governor at the Lagos House in Marina, led by NACC President Sheriff Balogun.

The initiative aims to serve as a hub for commercial relations between Nigeria and the United States for the next 50 years. Balogun emphasized the historical bond between the chamber and Lagos State, noting that the NACC was founded in Lagos in 1960, the same year Nigeria gained independence.

The NACC has been involved in significant activities over the past six decades, including executive council meetings and the Nigeria-United States Business Summit, which has taken place in Lagos.
