Nigeria Supports Trump's Trade Partnership Initiative

Nigeria's Ambassador to the United Nations, Jimoh Ibrahim, announced the country's support for a trade-driven economic partnership championed by former U.S. President Donald Trump.

This assurance was given during a meeting at Nigeria's permanent mission to the United Nations in New York, where Ibrahim met with Dan Negrea, the United States representative to the UN Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC). Ambassador Ibrahim emphasized that President Bola Tinubu's administration is committed to promoting economic growth through trade rather than aid.

He stated that the Nigerian government shares a vision of strengthening economic reforms and increasing trade and investment for mutual benefit. This partnership aligns with the initiatives promoted by the Trump administration, aiming to enhance economic collaboration between Nigeria and the United States.
