Dangote Inducted as 6th Honorary Fellow of NAE

On the occasion of the induction of Alhaji Aliko Dangote as the sixth Honorary Fellow of the Nigerian Academy of Engineering (NAE), stakeholders emphasized the need for increased investment in engineering to advance Nigeria's industrialization. Prof.

Rahamon Bello, NAE President, highlighted Dangote's substantial contributions to the nation's economic development through large-scale engineering projects. The NAE, established in 1997, serves as a think tank providing policy advice on technological matters and aims to promote engineering excellence.

Dangote's achievements include significant investments in cement manufacturing, sugar refining, and the establishment of Africa's largest oil refinery, which symbolizes engineering excellence. The induction ceremony recognized Dangote's role in inspiring a new generation of engineering entrepreneurs across Africa.

Dr. Mutiu Sunmonu, the guest speaker, praised Dangote's resilience and vision in navigating complex challenges in emerging economies.
