Danbatta Inaugurated as 14th President of Nigerian Academy

Prof. Umar Danbatta was inaugurated as the 14th President of the Nigerian Academy of Engineering on a Thursday in Yaba, Lagos.

During the event, he presented a four-point agenda aimed at transforming engineering education and promoting industrialization, which aligns with the academy's strategic plan for 2024 to 2028. Danbatta emphasized the importance of deepening engagement with the executive and legislative arms of government to ensure policies guide sound engineering data, research, and innovation.

He pledged to strengthen partnerships with various institutions, including the Nigerian Society of Engineers and the National Board for Technical Education, and to prioritize mentorship and capacity development for young engineers. Former President of the Academy, Prof.
