Nigerian Air Force Targets ISWAP Leaders in Lake Chad

The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) executed an air strike in the Lake Chad region, targeting a terrorist hideout and neutralizing several key Islamic State West Africa Province (ISWAP) fighters. Among those reported killed were JINDULLAH, the Chief Security Guard and confidant of Abu Saleem, and ABUL KISSA, a member of the ISWAP Shura Council.
This operation was part of the Joint Task Force, Operation HADIN KAI, aimed at weakening insurgent networks in North-East Nigeria. The Director of Public Relations and Information for the NAF, Air Commodore Ehimen Ejodame, stated that the strike also destroyed logistical assets, including boat engines and motorcycles used by the terrorists.
The Chief of the Air Staff, Air Marshal Sunday Aneke, reaffirmed the NAF's commitment to ongoing air operations against terrorist groups to restore peace and stability in the region. The NAF plans to enhance cooperation with other security agencies to protect vulnerable communities and ensure lasting security.
