Nigerian Air Force compensates victims of Sokoto airstrike, vows transparency

The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) compensates victims of a Sokoto airstrike, which unintentionally killed 13 civilians and injured eight others. The NAF conducted the airstrike during Operation Fasan Yamma against suspected armed terrorists.

The Director of Public Relations, Air Commodore Ehimen Ejodam, stated the NAF's commitment to transparency, accountability, and learning from the incident to prevent similar occurrences in the future. The compensatory exercise aims to provide closure to the affected community and draw critical lessons for future operations.
