Nigerian Air Force Responds to Civilian Deaths in Niger Airstrike

The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has reacted to reports of civilian deaths resulting from a military airstrike in Mariga Local Government Area of Niger State. The Director of Public Relations and Information for NAF stated that an investigation has been initiated to probe the incident and address civilian casualties.

The NAF spokesperson emphasized the service's commitment to transparency and accountability, acknowledging the gravity of the situation and reaffirming the protection of civilians as a core operational principle. Several individuals sustained gunshot injuries following the aerial attack on Kurgi Community in Mariga Local Government Area.
