NAF Neutralised 592 Terrorists, Destroyed 372 Assets In Eight Months

The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has reported that it neutralized 592 terrorists and destroyed 372 assets in an intensified clearance operation in Borno State over the past eight months. Chief of Air Staff, Air Marshal Hasan Abubakar, revealed these figures during a visit to Governor Babagana Zulum in Maiduguri.

The operation, known as Operation Hadin Kai, involved 798 combat sorties and flight hours targeting terrorist strongholds and logistics routes. Airstrikes targeted locations such as Gonori, Rann, Dikwa, Damboa, Azir, Mallam Fatori, disrupting Boko Haram and ISWAP activities.

The deployment of new gunships is expected to further boost air support for ground troops. Governor Zulum commended NAF for their vital role in degrading terrorist capabilities and safeguarding communities, while Air Marshal Abubakar emphasized NAF's mission to protect civilians and restore public trust beyond neutralizing threats.
