NAFDAC Arrests 15 Drug Hawkers in Nationwide Crackdown

NAFDAC has intensified its crackdown on drug hawkers, leading to the arrest of 15 suspects in Lagos, Kaduna, Abuja, and Asaba. The agency seized various illicit drugs, including aphrodisiacs, tramadol, and morphine.

NAFDAC's Director-General, Mojisola Adeyeye, warned offenders of stiff sanctions for selling unregistered medicines. The suspects are in custody pending investigation.

Adeyeye urged Nigerians to avoid buying drugs from hawkers as the clampdown will continue. The agency emphasized that selling medicines in unapproved locations remains prohibited.
