Nafiu Bala still ADC national chairman – Chieftain, Okechukwu

Nafiu Bala remains the National Chairman of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), as confirmed by a chieftain amidst claims of a fraudulent resignation letter. The letter, dated May 18, 2025, purportedly signed by Bala, was dismissed as fake and a desperate attempt to destabilize the party.

The ADC clarified that Bala had not resigned and continues to lead the party in accordance with its constitution. The party emphasized that any leadership transition must follow due process and rejected the unauthorized documentation.

Bala, in a statement, denied the existence of any legitimate resignation letter and urged party members to remain vigilant against misinformation campaigns. The ADC called on the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to recognize Bala as the legitimate leader of the party.
