NAHCON to Start Return Airlift for Pilgrims June 5, 2026

The National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) is set to begin the return airlift of Nigerian pilgrims from Saudi Arabia on June 5, 2026. This announcement was made by Prof. Abubakar Abubakar, the Director of Training and Research at NAHCON, during a courtesy visit to Kano State's Amirul Hajj, Aliyu Ibrahim Abdulkadir.

Prof. Abubakar stated that necessary arrangements are in place to ensure a smooth and safe return for the pilgrims following the completion of the 2026 Hajj rites. NAHCON is collaborating with state pilgrim welfare boards, airlines, and Saudi authorities to implement measures that guarantee orderly transport back to Nigeria, minimizing delays and congestion at airports.

He urged pilgrims to comply with guidelines regarding luggage and travel documents to facilitate a seamless airlift operation. Amirul Hajj Abdulkadir appreciated NAHCON's commitment to the welfare of Nigerian pilgrims and assured compliance with regulations to ensure successful return flights.
