NAICOM Honors Nike Popoola for Insurance Book Launch

The National Insurance Commission (NAICOM) commended Nike Popoola for her newly unveiled book on insurance trends in Nigeria, covering the period from 2005 to 2026. The launch event took place in Lagos, where Olusegun Omosehin, representing NAICOM, reaffirmed the federal government's commitment to strengthening the insurance sector through sustained reforms and improved regulatory oversight.

Rasaq Salami, NAICOM's Director of Human Resources Administration, noted that the past two decades have defined the industry, while Tope Adaramola, Executive Secretary of the Nigerian Council of Registered Insurance Brokers, praised the book for its depth and historical relevance. The book captures pivotal milestones, including the 2007 recapitalization exercise, which significantly influenced the industry's trajectory.

Yetund Ilori, President of the Chartered Insurance Institute of Nigeria, highlighted Popoola's dedication as a versatile journalist whose work has significantly elevated the profile of insurance reporting in Nigeria.
