NANS Urges Officials to Emulate Tunji-Ojo's Empowerment

The National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS), Southwest Zone D, praised Minister of Interior Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo for his support of youth empowerment during the Students to CEO Entrepreneurship Summit held in Akure, Ondo State. NANS issued a challenge to public office holders across Nigeria to implement similar initiatives aimed at benefiting undergraduates and young entrepreneurs.

In a statement from NANS Southwest Coordinator, Comrade Adeyemo Josiah Kayode, the association highlighted the empowerment packages distributed at the summit, which included industrial sewing machines, deep freezers, power generators, and trade tools. These resources are intended to foster sustainable enterprises among students.

Comrade Adeyemo emphasized the need for political engagement to extend beyond mere rhetoric, advocating for direct access to skills, capital, and mentorship. NANS called for measurable interventions from all levels of government to combat graduate unemployment and enhance economic development, urging student unions to form strategic partnerships that prepare students for post-graduation life.
