Victor Osimhen, the striker for the Super Eagles, has publicly criticized Napoli, stating that the club treated him "like a dog." In an interview with Gazzetta dello Sport, he expressed his discontent regarding the relationship with Napoli's president, Aurelio De Laurentiis, particularly after the club released a video mocking him on TikTok for missing a penalty against Bologna. Osimhen highlighted that he worked hard for his career and would not accept such treatment, asserting he is not a puppet.

He also mentioned that Napoli did not fully honor a gentleman's agreement regarding his potential departure, which has led to fallout between him and the club. This statement comes ahead of Galatasaray's UEFA Champions League round of 16 playoff first leg tie scheduled for Tuesday.
