NAPTIP and Taraba State Reunite 10 Trafficked Children with Families in Jalingo

The National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons (NAPTIP) collaborated with the Taraba State Ministry of Women Affairs and Child Development to reunite 10 trafficked children with their biological parents in Jalingo, the capital of Taraba State. The children were rescued on January 31, 2026, during an operation where NAPTIP intercepted suspects trafficking them at Kurmi Motor Park in Jalingo.

The formal handover to the families took place on February 2, with Mr. Bako Amo leading the process, accompanied by Mr.

Mari Sinjen and Mr. Eric Juyo.

NAPTIP emphasized the dangers of irregular movement of children without parental consent, warning against exploitation and abuse. The agency urged the public to report any suspicious movements involving minors to security agencies.
