NAqF Postpones Swimming Championship After President's Death

The Nigeria Aquatic Federation (NAqF) announced the postponement of the National Junior Swimming Championship due to the death of its president, Dr. Chamberlain Nnamdi Dunkwu.

A statement issued by the federation's media communications department on Tuesday indicated that the championship, which was originally scheduled for March 6-7, 2026, will now be held in April 2026. This decision was made to honor Dr.

Dunkwu, who was noted as the sole sponsor and a strong advocate for the development of aquatic sports and youth swimming in Nigeria. The new date for the event will be communicated through the federation's official channels.

The postponement reflects the NAqF's recognition of Dr. Dunkwu's leadership, commitment, and contributions to the growth of swimming in the country.
